Membership of The Macclesfield Canal Society is open to anyone with an interest in the canal. The subscription is most reasonable - just GBP7.00 per year per family living under one roof.

We hold monthly meetings - from September to May these are held indoors and are usually based around a presentation with a waterway theme. In June, July and August we take a short evening walk somewhere associated with the Macclesfield or other local canal. Throughout the winter months members also organise longer Sunday walks in the district or sometimes further away with a weekend walk normally taken in the Autumn.

Each quarter we publish Milestone, our newsletter, to keep the membership up to date with what is happening on the canal and what the society is doing to improve the canal. We welcome you - do join us!
