Notes for Edward TOMMS The IGI lists an 'Edward TOMMS (that spelling), parents John & Sarah TOMMS' as being bap on 2 Sep 1810 in Windrush, GLS. Windrush lies 1 mile SW of Great Barrington, where John TOMES married Sarah BAYLIES two years earlier and it is conceivable Edward was their first born. No other mentions of him have been found and he may have died in infancy or died young and was not thereafter mentioned. TOMMS may be a transcription error for TOMES. [107]
