Notes for Lewis ADKINS Civil war veteran. He served in Company ′D′ of the 39th Kentucky Infantry Division. According to his military service record, he was 5ft 10 inches tall, fair complexion, blue eyes and black hair. He was a farmer prior to his enlistment. [55]
