Family notes for Joseph DANIELS and Victoria COLLINS

Daniels, p.140.

Joseph and Victoria had one child prior to Joseph going into serve. Ernest Roscoe DANIELS was in the Philippines during WWII and was unable to find any trace of his father while there. [55]

Notes for Joseph DANIELS

Joseph was one of those involved in the Ku Klux Klan in Letcher County KY that was required to join the army in lieu of going to jail. Like Boaz ADKINS, he was sent to the Philippine Islands and may have died there. Exhaustive searches have shown that Joseph never returned home to his wife and child. According to army records, Joseph was discharged in the Philippines and they can provide no further information on him. [55]
