Family notes for Silas ADKINS and Augusta CHILDERS Daniels, p.164.
Daniels′ listings show some confusion. King ADKINS b.1877 is shown on p.46 and married to Rosa ADKINS, daughter of Squire and Sarah ANDERSON ADKINS, on 7-4-1893. On p.163 King S ADKINS b.1875 is listed as having married the same lady, Rosa ADKINS, daughter of Squire and Sarah ANDERSON ADKINS, on 9-4-1893. Though the details are not identical they are very similar, and I conclude that the two records are of the same people. In the earlier record, King is shown having two marriages and eight children. In the later record, just one marriage and six children. Some of the children′s names are the same in each record, some are not. In some cases the names are different but their marriages are the same! It′s very hard to know how to record these families because so much of the information is clearly wrong - I just don′t know which! So I am adding this note to each of two records for King ADKINS and his children and recording them as two separate streams even though some records will be duplicated. [Webmaster]
