Family notes for Thomas ADKINS and Olivia MORGAN

Jim Adkins very kindly provided the body of this tree. Daniels also provides information on this tree beginning with Thomas ADKINS on page 177. Jim′s data seems to me to be better founded, so I have added various data from Daniels where I think it of value. I also include below a lengthy note from Daniels giving his views regarding the origins of this branch of Adkins. [Webmaster]

We suspect that Thomas was a brother to several of the early ADKINS people in Floyd County, KY. Thomas was shown to be in Floyd County as early as 1810. He and Ollie lived on Shelby Creek in Pike County, KY (then Floyd County). We do not have a death date for Thomas but it is very likely that he died prior to 1830, as Ollie was listed in the 1830 Pike County census, living alone with her children. Ollie married Elisha SANDERS on 5-21-1831. [55]
