A banker ('Oldacre, Tomes & Chattaway' in Stratford on Avon, established in 1810 & which suffered a serious robbery in 1824). May have 'signed away' family interests in his grand-father's Herefordshire property. On marriage lived first in Long Marston (in a house belonging to a William Morris) and there built and moved into a house 100 yards from King's Lodge. In 1818 inherited house built by his uncle, Thomas BENNETT, in South Littleton and went to live there. Trustee of Marston School, 28 Oct 1803 to 23 Jul 1834. Took no interest in King's Lodge and bequeathed it to his 4th son, Fisher. [107]
