Notes for Thomas ADKINS 1881 Census - Living in New Road, Woodleigh, Kings Norton, Staffordshire UK. Noted on
son's wedding certificate as a 'Gentleman'. Travelled from Widney, Knowle,
Warwickshire UK, to Birmingham every day by train for business.
Thomas wrote the letter to his mother. Clearly a child writing this, but what
excellent writing! Aunt Lucy is his mother's sister, Lucy MALINS . Florence is Thomas's sister, Florence Ann ADKINS.
Notes for Ellen SOTHAM The picture is said to have been taken at the wedding of her grand-daughter
Eleanor Wenham and Bryan Isaac in about 1927/8 when Ellen was about 83 but she
really doesn't look that old! Lived at Padstow, Beech Avenue, Sanderstead,
Surrey UK, in her retiring years. [105]
